Moon Doggie Layout

This was so much fun, these papers are AWESOME!

Back Country - Double Page Layouts

So today, since I had ALOT of photos to scrap, I thought I would use Jeanette Lyntons' Imagine book. It is such a great resource, you just pick your favorite sketch that suits your photos, and away you go. She has great ideas and cutting instructions!
This first layout, I used the Imagine book - Supporting Cast layout. I used Level 2 Backcountry paper pack and stickease. Also, with quick results, I used the color ready alphabets and dabbed them with the coordinating ink. No wonder Close To My Hearts moto is FASTER, SIMPER, EASIER! In this layout, I also used the Imagine book - Dynamic Duo layout and all the same materials as the above layout.

Again, same materials.....I used the Cherish book - "Rise to the occassion" This also shows you how much you can create with just one Level 2 paper pack and Level 2 stickease...I still have alot of paper left too!

Happy Canada Day

July 1st is one of my favorite holidays. It's a day that our entire community comes together to celebrate being Canadian.....we are proud to be Canadian!!!!!! We start the day with a pancake breakfast, then a parade. This year we had a jet from CFB Cold Lake do a fly by, yikes, that was loud!
After the parade, everyone gathers up by the arena for great outdoor entertainment and visiting. In the afternoon there was a strong man competition and farm challenge.
In the evening there was a Lakeland Idol singing competition, and then, my favorite, the fireworks! What a great day!

Our girls tied for 1st place in the bicycle parade.

2009 Edmonton Underwear Affair

On Saturday I walked with 2 great friends of mine in the 2009 Edmonton Underwear Affair. It is an event that raises money for research for cancers that hit below the waist. I am an ovarian cancer survivor, so this event is near and dear to my heart. The best part was that I could enjoy the day with great friends and my two fantastic kids! :-)

This year there were more than 1,200 people who took to the streets of Edmonton dressed down to their underwear. Together we raised a lot of eyebrows, but more importantly, we raised an incredible $675,000 for research that will ultimately benefit patients at the Cross Cancer Institute in Edmonton and throughout Alberta.

Imaginisce- Teacher's Pet

I made these cute paper boxes with blank 3x3 notecards for teacher's gifts this year. The paper is Imaginisce - Teacher's Pet, flowers are from that line as well!
You can purchase these papers here at Scrapbooking Fanatics: http://www.scrapbookingfanatics.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=23_416 This first box is for Mrs. C., my son's teacher.

This second box is for my daughter's teacher Mr. H. Since this is a male teacher, I've omitted the ribbons and flowers.

For the Base of the box, cut a 5 5/8" square and score 1" on each side. Fold on all score lines, then cut out corner sections. Glue together.
Lid is the same process, but you will be cutting a 7 1/2 square and scoring all sides at 2".
Notecards are 3"x3".

More Doodlebug Zoofari cards!

This Doodlebug Zoofari paper line combined with this circle card is just too cute for words!
I had to make these 3 x 3 notecards with my leftovers!

Color Me Monday - Petal Pushers! ;-)

It's Jeanette's Color Me Monday again! This time, I have actually completed the challenge on Monday! Huh, imagine that! This week she challenged us to use the following Close To My Heart Colors: Petal, Pansy Purple, Daisy White and New England Ivy. I used Pansy Purple as my base cardstock and then randomly stamped a piece of White Daisy cardstock using the above ink colors and the stamp set from Tickled Pink! (LOVE those flowers)
